“Odi - absolute bloody legend due to some unexpected happenings on the road from Laverton, we were behind schedule by about 2 hours. Without a booking and simply being an awesome, amazing person, Odi spotted our convoy and got us safely in the camp ground well past check in time. Odi, you are amazing and we owe you one for sure! Facilities were fantastic, the camp kitchen was so clean and with all the gear one could ever need. Also, the rest of the staff, legends! So welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Will be back and will tell EVERYONE travelling the Great Central Road to stay here”
“Fuel very expensive but that’s what you would expect being so isolated. Locals trying to sell items when you pull up. Felt safe night and day which is probably cos of the tall fence and the barb wire. Clean toilets. Showers hard to manage as water temp changes very quickly”
“The Warburton Roadhouse is a fantastic stop—whether you’re just passing through or staying a while. The shop is well-stocked, and the food and drinks are genuinely awesome, especially considering how remote the location is. Everything is fresh, tasty, and hits the spot after a long drive. What really makes the place stand out is the staff. They’re incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready for a chat and happy to help with anything you need. It gives the whole place a relaxed, comfortable vibe. I’ve stayed there as well, and the rooms are clean, tidy, and well-maintained—perfect for a good rest. As a bonus, you might even spot a peacock wandering around, which adds a unique and memorable touch to the experience. All in all, it’s a great roadhouse with excellent service, good food, and comfortable accommodation. Definitely worth stopping by!”
“Dropped in to get fuel & asked if someone could check a tyre for a slow leak. Anthony offered me the use of their trolley jack which was an enormous help. After removing the wheel from the vehicle, Louie located a leak & both of them set about repairing it. Louie discovered a long nail embedded in the tyre .Both of these men are a credit to the outback tradition of helping travellers. They cheerfully removed the tyre from the rim, prepped it then plugged the hole created by the nail. You would be hard pressed to get service like this in the city. I was so happy to have met these two fellows with their pleasant disposition. Thank you guys. PS the repair is holding together ( an in joke ) I can't comment on the rooms as I didn't stay but may do so on my way back from my trip.”
“Can't comment on the rooms as we camped but the facilities were clean and other guests seemed to do their bit to keep it that way. Odi was amazing, we were driving into town around 7:30pm on a Sunday night (due to issues on the road) and she stopped us going into town as it can get a bit sketchy during school holidays. She then led us into the roadhouse campground and escorted all 4 cars in our convoy in safely. All she asked was that we pay the accommodation rate for the night the next day. Would 100% recommend if you are travelling the great Central road to include Warburton roadhouse as one of your stops. The fuel was good quality also and the coffee was pretty good.”
“This is as good as you'll get for the remote location and the best thing is the friendly and accommodating staff! Safe. Secure. Clean. Basic comfort and amenities and the evening meal with Baramundi fish tasted great!! Was a bit iffy due to poor reviews but you just gotta try it and then you'll get it!! Stay here if you can, it's worth the stop for a quiet overnight rest!”
